Tell us your patch
Sketch your plot in plain English — backyard, terrace, balcony, allotment. Sun, soil, who lives there, what you want to grow. Drafty turns it into a structured brief in seconds.
Type your plants. Drafty draws a measured plan, plant by plant — then turns it into a 30-second four-season reel you can share with your partner, the builder, or just yourself.
Hint · "3 lavender", "raised bed", "lawn", "olive tree", "path"
We strip the design step down to typing what you have and what you want — Drafty handles the measurement, the plant compatibility, and the four-season simulation.
Sketch your plot in plain English — backyard, terrace, balcony, allotment. Sun, soil, who lives there, what you want to grow. Drafty turns it into a structured brief in seconds.
Get four candidate layouts — Family, Mediterranean, Zen, English Country — each with a measured plant list, monthly maintenance load, and an estimated shopping list.
Tap once. Drafty plots a 30-second reel: SVG plan → 3D garden → spring buds → summer bloom → autumn leaves → winter snow, with a quiet voice-over and lower-third plant labels.
Hover any tile to unmute. Reels are AI-rendered from the chosen plan — not stock footage — with quiet narration over the plant Latin name + seasonal tasks.
Buds breaking, herb starts, soil warming
Lavender bloom, low maintenance, citrus shade
Maple turn, mulch reset, hedging
Bare-bones structure, evergreen anchors
We pick voices from real Drafty users on backyards, terraces, and balconies — not staged studios. They were paid in credits, not cash.
I'd been staring at the same patch of dead lawn for two summers. Drafty drew four options in six seconds — I picked Mediterranean and the reel sold my husband on it before I'd even finished my coffee.
The plant Latin names in the reel are great — I sent the PDF straight to my local nursery and they pulled the order without me having to translate ‘that purple flower.’
Live-blueprint preview made me realise I'd asked for too many trees in 1.2 m of balcony. I love that it just shrugged and shifted everything to planters.

Three of these — about architects, plant survival, and planning permission — matter enough that we've stamped them. Drafty is a planning aid, not a permit.
No. Photos you upload are used only to generate your plan and reel. We don't use them to train Drafty's models or sell them to third parties. You can delete them anytime from /app/billing.
No — and we want to be very plain about this. Drafty produces reference garden plans for personal use. They are not landscape-architect plans, they are not gardener consultations, and they are not engineering certifications. Anything involving structural loads, drainage, electrical work, or boundary walls must be reviewed by a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
Yes. Cancel with one click from /app/billing or via the Stripe customer portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period; we never bill you again after cancellation.
Credits are service usage, not currency. They are non-refundable and non-transferable. We refund unused subscription periods within 14 days for first-time customers (per UK Consumer Contracts Regulations); see /refund-policy for the full picture.
Drafty maps to general climate zones (USDA / RHS hardiness) but cannot account for your microclimate, soil pH, or local pests. Always confirm with a nearby garden centre before buying — and never assume a plant in the reel will survive without watering schedule and soil prep.
Building walls, fences over a certain height, drainage changes, and tree removal can require planning permission depending on where you live. Drafty plans don't check this. You are responsible for confirming local rules and not encroaching on neighbours' or public land. See /acceptable-use.
The Plot plan is licensed for personal projects. Atelier includes a small-business license for client deliverables, with handover PDFs that mark Drafty as the source. See /content-license.
